50 students and 5 members of staff braved the ghosts of South Wigston High School and slept over in the old gym area of the school on Friday 28th October. The evening started with pumpkin carving, face painting and spooky games, followed by hotdogs and other exciting activities. Then came the 'Big One': the Ghost Tour around the school! Groups of students, led by an experienced SWHS Tour Guide, snook around the corridors of the school on the hunt for one of our 2 ghosts. There were a few surprises along the way but I'm pleased to report that there was a full complement of students when all the tours returned. No lost students this year!
Many thanks to the Staff and Governors who gave up their Friday night to make the evening a real success. Will next year’s Year 7 be brave enough to face the ghosts of South Wigston?!!
