In this department we teach History, Geography, RE and Citizenship. It is here that pupils learn not only about the wider world in which they live, but also how the world and Britain developed into what it is today. Through Geography they will explore foreign lands and the environment in which we all live. History will give them a true understanding of the country they belong to and learn important lessons from past events and peoples. RE and Citizenship teach respect, care, and pride for themselves and others.
Through Humanities we hope to encourage pupils to form opinions, listen to and understand the opinions of others and start to be able to make sense of the information they will be bombarded with as they become teenagers and adults. It's four years of fun learning through written, oral and practical tasks!
