Theatre Trips

As part of our Key Stage 4 Performing Arts provision, students are expected to see live theatre and events. We therefore offer at least 2 theatre trips a year to all Performing Arts students in years 9-11. These trips are normally to Curve, in the centre of Leicester, where we have a strong relationship and get professional quality theatre at exceptionally reasonable prices. Once every three years we also get a backstage tour of the theatre for students to see what goes on backstage and in the administrative areas of a fully producing house. There are times when last minute ticket offers come through from Curve, and these reduced-price tickets are offered to students if they are interested in attending the events. This does mean that sometimes trip turnaround time is very quick, but we encourage students to take advantage of these opportunities where theatre is affordable.  Previous theatre visits include: West Side Story, White Christmas, My Beautiful Laundrette, A Comedy about a Bank Robbery, Warhorse, Who Cares, A Chorus Line.
