Welcome

Thank you for your interest in South Wigston High School, which is part of the Learning without Limits Academy Trust. Situated in the heart of South Wigston, we are an oversubscribed 11 -16 academy proudly serving students from our local community and surrounding areas, including Leicester City.

I’m delighted to join SWHS full time as Principal. In my experience as Director of Secondary Education for LwLAT,  I’ve had the opportunity to work with the team at SWHS and to get to know the wonderful staff and pupils. There are many strengths we can build on and successes we can celebrate as we continue our improvement journey.

I’ve had the privilege of working as a leader in education for nearly 20 years, with a focus on developing schools in challenging circumstances. As an experienced Vice-Principal and Principal, I’ve been able to improve outcomes and Ofsted ratings in several schools, at the same time as making them happier places to learn and work. I’m committed to achieving this at South Wigston High School.

From experience, I know that children thrive when school, parents and carers work together effectively.
